Moral Perspective

” We are both thieves

you and I “,

said the Man

who stole a Billion

to the man who stole

but one;

” we both took by deception

that which wasn’t ours to take”

said the Man

who stole 5 Billions

to the man who stole

only five;

” the difference between us is,

what you did is now your problem

whereas what I did

is now the banks’ and governments'”

said the Man

who got away with stealing

10 Billions

to the man

who got caught stealing

but ten;

” I disagree “,

said the arrestee,

” the difference between us is,

I had to,

but you wanted to..”

And at that,

Heaven and Earth

crumbled

into cosmic dust.
